Come learn all of the ins and outs of beautifying your garden for fall! Our resident experts Juli & Natasha will teach you what seasonal veggies to plant in the fall as well as how to grow micro greens. There are also wonderful herbs and edible flowers that can be sown in the fall!

We will be discussing backyard habitats and how to attract bees and butterflies!

Take home tons of new seasonal plant knowledge, a growing guide and a seed pack!

Kokedama & Epiphyte Mounting

Please join us for an afternoon of kokedama crafting and epiphyte mounting! We’ll share the literal translation of Kokedama and why it’s called the Poor Man’s Bonsai. You’ll also learn how biodiverse epiphytes are and how they manage to grow and thrive on other plants (hint: there’s a reason Tillandsia are called “air plants”!).

Our resident expert will guide you through each step of this whimsical project, and you'll leave with a unique kokedama or mounted plant of your own.

Cost: $50

There will be two sections!!!

Fall Plant Club Gathering

Calling all Urban Earthlings to the propagation station!!

This fall seasonal gathering is a plant cutting exchange. There will be drinks, snacks and lots of fun banter with fellow plant nerds.

You provide the plant cuttings. We will provide soil and two inch pots for your new friend.

We will have a thorough discussion about propagation tips and tricks at the gathering.

Exchange Guidelines:

No pests

Bring at least one friend to swap

Houseplant cuttings must have a node

If you’re bringing a succulent please let it callous over

Bring your adventurous spirit

White walls that you wish were green? Looking for more privacy? Hoping to improve the view? Now is your chance! Whether you have a small deck or a large yard, a fern wall is a magnificent way to try out vertical gardening.

Join the frondly Urban Earth team for an interactive, creative and soil-filled day as we re-purpose old pallets into a vertical garden display that will never cease to wow you and your friends!

Enrollment includes:

  • Advice and direction from a team of plant-wise women

  • Pallets prepared with soil and felt

  • A wide variety of ferns ready for planting

  • All the materials you’ll need to create your very own up-cycled, living wall.
